Sustainability means the world to us—literally.Designed and created in-house.
76% Less CO2. 58% Less Energy. 55% Less Water. 40% Less Soap.If you want to get into more detail, here’s the whole Life Cycle Analysis of our Arpe Towels.
Microfiber towels absorb more than cotton towels. In fact, our towels absorb three times their weight, getting less wet and drying faster once used.
Our microfiber towels are made with recycled polyester (rPET), which is sustainable because its production process has a low impact on the planet.
The OEKO-TEX certificate ensures our towels don’t contain harmful substances for humans, even babies.
Only around 35% of the microplastics in the ocean come from the washing process of synthetic clothes.
Why should I buy a microfiber towel?
What are microfiber towels and why are they on-trend?
Microfiber towels, as their name suggests, are made of a synthetic fabric with much finer filaments than, for example, natural cotton fibers. This fineness gives them a faster drying and a much smaller volume and weight, so they are very practical to transport. As a result, they are becoming increasingly popular in the sports, fitness and travel sectors.
How can I identify a high-quality microfiber towel?
A high-quality microfiber towel does not allow you to see through it, otherwise the filaments would be cut and the absorbency would be much lower. And absorbency is a major distinguishing feature. For example, our standard 200 gr/m2 towel can absorb 300% of its weight.
Are microfiber towels environmentally friendly?
The carbon footprint of Arpe towels is 76% lower than that of a cotton towel. How? First, because of the way they are made. Our towels are made with 30% recycled yarn from post-consumer rPET bottles, digitally printed with OEKO-TEX certified inks, and made in our factory with 100% renewable energy. Second, they save on domestic washing, which is responsible for the 72% of the total emissions. Our microfiber towels save 58% in energy, 55% in water and 40% in soap. In addition, at the end of their useful life, they can be reused or recycled, which would reduce their carbon footprint by 11%.
What are the advantages of Arpe's microfiber towels?
For starters, our microfiber towels are also sustainable, considered the most eco-friendly on the market for their low environmental impact and conscious production. In fact, our towels are the foundation of who we are and who we want to be: origin, design and sustainability.
Secondly, we innovate and apply our 30 years of experience in the textile sector to all our processes, from the first idea to the logistics, delivery time and end of life of the product’s life, which brings us to the third point.
At Arpe we control the entire process. Everything we can do, we do in-house. We ideate, design, cut, print, weave, sew, manufacture, package and deliver from our factory in Arenys de Munt. This allows us to create high-quality products with a lot of personality and meaning.
Finally, our sustainable microfiber towels come in four sizes and ten different colors and designs so you can find the one that best suits you and your needs.
What sectors are microfiber towels used in?
There are multiple sectors in which microfiber towels are very convenient and comfortable to use, especially for their small volume and great absorption. They are a perfect complement for any outdoor activity, as well as for short trips where you have little space. For example, you can use our sustainable microfiber towels in hotels and gyms, as well as at the pool, beach, golf, paddle, tennis or yoga. They are soft and lightweight, ideal for any sport or leisure activities. However, they are also ideal for home use, as they are easier to store and fit a lot more in the washing machine.
