• We have been a local company since our very beginning, decades ago. So everything we can do, we do it in-house. We ideate, design, prototype, weave, laminate, cut, print, sew, manufacture and package in our factory in Arenys de Munt. And what we cannot do, we look for in local manufacturers nearby that share the same values as us. So if you choose Arpe, you are betting on 20 little humans and a strong network of local partners.

    We are artisans 2.0

We want our products to be intimately connected to the place, the origin, and the people behind them. This is why we do things ourselves, with our own hands. We are artisans to the core and each product is created with care and love by our team. While one cuts the fabric, the other prints the design and the next one sews the edges. A combination of handwork and teamwork that makes each item unique and imperfect, like no other.

We care about the impact of our actions

Sustainability shouldn’t even be a question. All our products are eco-designed under the circular economy criteria and with 100% renewable energy (in fact, we have just installed our own solar panels!). We look for the most optimal sizes and cut the fabric accordingly to generate the least amount of waste. We also make sure our products are recycled and recyclable, the majority being mono-material, so it is easy to do so. And we treat our packaging the same way: the less amount and the more recycled, the better.

    • Our products are manufactured with fabric made of polyester yarn from post-consumer rPET bottles. So, yes, using synthetic and recycled materials was a choice. As humans, we keep producing and using new resources while creating an unbelievable amount of waste. Waste that either gets incinerated or stays on Earth with us, polluting a tone in both cases. So we decided not to be a part of it. We decided to use our own waste and give it a second life. How? Plastic bottles get melted down and reduced to create soft microfiber, also called polyester yarn, that is then woven into big pieces of fabric. Easy!

    We measure our carbon footprint

We want to be better every day, for us and for the planet. This is why we measured the carbon footprint of our star product, the microfiber towel, and of our entire company. This way, we can first reduce what we emit and then compensate for what we cannot reduce. And after years of implementing changes, we are very proud of what we have achieved and know we’re on the right path to becoming net of emissions.
